CORONA VIRUS. COVID-19.
The latest superstar that caught everyone’s attention these past months. It looks like the peak of the Coronavirus has passed in China and the rest of the world are playing catch up.
Everything is affected – Health, businesses, currencies, travels and all the way down to even basic supplies like toilet paper! People amaze me.
Now what? Well, for starters, companies are implementing work-from-home for 2 weeks. I am one of the many fortunate people who gets to work remotely. So yes, Hubs and I will be working from home till the end of the month. I personally enjoy working in the office only because now my newly bought dining table is filled with papers and stationery.
Doesn’t look quite aesthetically pleasing, in other words, bloody messy! It’s turned into a mini office and it’s only temporary so that’s ok 😀
We went to work this morning and there were much lesser people and much lesser cars. I got a seat on the train even! What? When did that ever happen? I accidentally coughed coz I couldn’t shut up and breathe at the same time and people gave me death stares. Should I be saying anything at all? An explanation maybe? God knows. I just kept quiet and smiled and a lady in her mid 50s rolled her eyes. That was awkward.
Got into the office and only had a piece of vegemite toast instead of 50 in the morning and went straight to work coz there were so many I had to get done and then it was announced that we needed to be working from home starting tomorrow for 2 weeks.
This corona virus is keeping us all locked in our homes but I also hope that Earth will take this opportunity to recover itself from human destruction even if it’s only 2 weeks. The air quality improved a lot with much lesser cars and flights already, we can spend more time with our loved ones and people are washing their hands now. What? Absolutely mind-blowing the amount of positives we can learn from this.
Alright, I better wash up now and sleep. I gotta wake up early tomorrow and start working in my PJs and bad breathe.
Stay safe lovelies.
Goodnight.
X,
R
